An impressive career can conceal the most piteous stories underneath. Lolo Jones, who was the winner of the USA and World Champion in the event of a hurdle in 2013, has only been able to achieve this level by putting in a lot of effort and tremendous patience. Jones' childhood was difficult because she was born to a single mother in a large family. Her mother was constantly shifting and even spent some time living at the bottom of her home. Jones was required to go to a new high school each year due to her nomadic upbringing. At Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones was separated from her mother to pursue her interest in athletics. Jones lived with 4 different families in order to focus on her studies. Jones also played cello in the orchestra of her school.
